Add a custom emoji in Slack
- 1Download the PNG or GIF you want, then open Slack on desktop.
- 2Click the smiley in the message field, choose Add Emoji, then Upload Image.
- 3Give it a short lowercase name people will remember after typing a colon, then Save.
- 4If a concept needs two common names, ask an owner to add an alias instead of uploading a duplicate file.
