Add a custom emoji to Discord
- 1Download a square image from a pack above and keep the file under 256 KB.
- 2Open the destination server, choose Server Settings, then Emoji, and select Upload Emoji.
- 3Use a name at least two characters long with only letters, numbers, or underscores.
- 4You need to own the server or have Create Expressions permission; without Nitro or Nitro Basic, members use the emoji only in its home server.
Slots and reach
A server starts with 50 static emoji slots. Check your server settings for available capacity. Nitro and Nitro Basic let subscribers use custom emoji outside their home server where permitted.
