Overview

Teamsmoji ("we", "us", "the site") is a free library of custom emojis for Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Discord, plus a browser-based emoji maker, operated by Canna Holdings LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. This policy explains what information is collected when you use www.teamsmoji.com, why, who else receives it, and the choices you have.

There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no payments on Teamsmoji. We never ask for your name, and we do not sell personal information.

Information we collect

Usage and device data. When you visit, our analytics provider records things like the pages you view, links and buttons you click, the page that referred you, your browser, operating system, screen size, and an approximate location (country and city) worked out from your IP address.

Emoji maker activity. We record which maker settings were used (for example the platform, style, and output size) so we can see which features help people. We do not record the images themselves.

Server and security logs. Our hosting and delivery provider keeps standard request logs, such as IP address, time, requested URL, and browser, for security, abuse prevention, and performance.

Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include, and we use it only to reply and handle your request.

Images you use in the emoji maker

The emoji maker runs in your browser. Images, GIFs, and videos you upload, paste, or drop into it are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to our servers. When you open a library emoji in the maker, your browser downloads that emoji from Teamsmoji, the same as any other download.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our analytics tool stores a random identifier in a first-party cookie and in your browser's local storage so it can tell repeat visits apart. The site itself does not use cookies to identify you by name.

If we show ads, Google and its partners may also set cookies or use similar technologies (see Advertising below). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop the site from working.

How we use information

We use this information to run and secure the site, understand which pages and tools are useful, fix bugs, filter out automated traffic, and decide what to build next. We do not use it to build advertising profiles of our own.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers that process data for us: PostHog (product analytics, US hosting) and Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, and security). If ads are enabled, Google also receives data as described below.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the site. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Advertising

Teamsmoji may display ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings or opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalized ads are shown.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is kept for as long as it is useful for understanding trends, and generally no longer than our analytics provider's retention period. Server logs are kept for a short period for security. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, including the EU, UK, and US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of personal information about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing where the law requires it.

To make a request, email us using the address on our contact page. Because we do not have accounts, include enough detail (such as the approximate date and browser you used) for us to find the data. We will not treat you differently for using your rights. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Where EU or UK law applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in running, securing, and improving the site for analytics and logs, and on your consent for personalized advertising.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Children

Teamsmoji is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on this page.
